Gotham 1x22 All Happy Families Are Alike

As Gotham City’s gang war reaches its boiling point, Fish Mooney goes head-to-head with Maroni and Penguin in an attempt to re-stake her claim on the city. Meanwhile, Barbara and Leslie Thompkins are brought together after recent events, and Bruce searches Wayne Manor for any hints that his father might have left behind.

A while back, Jada/Fish said in an interview that she wouldn't be back for Season 2. Given that we don't have a body, who knows if she might pop up down the road but I doubt it.
Loved the various character developments / reveals. Death, retirement, psychotic break, psychopath, coming of age. A little bit of everything! Looking forward to season 2.

The Harley Quinn fight was hot. Interesting turn of events, but the finale was far too comical. Tell me that bitch is finally dead. Where is Victor Zazz? It seemed like there was an episode missing.

so i'm confused..barbara kills her parents, tries to kill leigh in a jealous rage, then jim walks in on leigh trying to kill barbara, but instead of making sure she's ok and alive, he comforts the girl who looks like a liar because she was caught attempting murder and its always he said she said.
but then as we all know, jim later marries barbara....? or did he marry a different barbara??

.. does jim marry her or does he just have a baby with her? i don't really know the comics, but now that she seems totally crazy i think its possible that she just does something to get pregnant by him and then dies giving birth.

I really don't like the Fish character she is the most cartoonish and over the top part of the show and she doesn't even connect to the lore. I know Jada said she was done with the show but the ending really leaves the possibility of her returning and i hate that. we've seen fish come back from worse.

That was quite the season finale!
Fun to watch, but also just a little over the top crazy.

It's like they were shoving two or three eps worth of story and drama down into one.
Maybe the script authors wrote 20 episodes and the 3 last were a bit sketchy, or...?

On the other hand, if every episode of Gotham went by such a breakneck pace of story development and craziness, it would incidentally lead to frenzied characters like the Joker make a lot more sense, lol... :)

The Originals 2x21 Fire With Fire

A FAMILY DIVIDED — After discovering that he’s been betrayed by his own siblings, Klaus teams up with an unlikely ally and sets off on a warpath, hell bent on revenge. Amidst the news that Klaus is on the loose, Elijah, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) move forward with their plan to lure Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black) to the compound and take her down once and for all. Meanwhile, Hayley and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) attempt to escape through the flooded bayou, even as Marcel finds himself hunted by a dangerous new threat. Finally, Davina is presented with an offer that could allow her the chance to bring back Kol, though it will require her to make a life-altering decision. Leah Pipes and Yusuf Gatewood also star.

Loved this always great seeing Klaus being badass and maniacal, happy the season finale is going in the direction I wanted.I love Klaus. I preferred him to any other character in TVD. I don't see him as the villain at all. I can't stand Hayley. I think she's awful. Baby Hope should stay with Klaus. She will be better with him.

Semi-Spoiler
Who here thinks that Davina is going to be a sort of antagonist again by the end of this season?

She pretty much says she's going to fight Klaus and beat the Mikaelsons and restore the witches to power. People often badmouth Hayley but for me Davina will always be the #1 most annoying bitch.

I think Klaus is mad because they they daggered him to stop him from having a say in the plan to save his daughter's life, they even let let Haley take away Hope forever and they said they were going to free him when she was safe, that could be YEARS and Hope is mortal as far as we know. They stuck around so he could bond him Hope only to take her away when he finally does it? That is cruel, worst than anything he has done to them. He loves his daughter, if he was not awakened by Dhalia and his daughter was hurt while he was daggered , it would have crushed him.

Okay everybody wants to point out what Klaus does to his family. But what about what they did to Klaus. Klaus always backs Elijah and Rebecca when they get into trouble. But every time Klaus needs them to side with him they seem to side with those they know is against Klaus or at least someone he doesn't trust. After 1000 years they choose to listen to the sister they never even seen before over Klaus even though it's his own daughter that's in danger. And it's the second time in a year. Rebecca tried to dagger Klaus only some months ago. The worst part is that Klaus never asked them to come to New Orleans. Be actually told them to leave they stayed and tried to control their brother. Everything Klaus has done since season 1 of TO i believe that they deserved. after 1000 years they should know that Klaus had a good plan. All he wanted was for them to choose him over a unknown sister that only Finn knew

Klaus has stuck a dagger in his brothers and sister at every turn...literally every chance he got.... but gets all crazier than he already is when someone does it to him
give me a break.. and the people writing this show has no imagination... what so ever.. they really need to kill that Hayley chick off... that actress that's in that role really makes my blood boil.. I can't stand her...she is utterly useless
as for the Jackson.... guy I can take him or leave him

4x5 Game of Thrones - The Sons of the Harpy

Wrong. As you said, Gendry is an illegitimate son, meaning he has no claims to the throne whatsoever. Just like Jon Snow has no right on Winterfell unless Stannis legitimizes him. Stannis is Robert's rightful successor.

he last we saw of gendry was when sir davos helped him escape dragonstone after they bonded about being from the same place in the cells that were being held captive. I dont remember why exactly they were being held captive in the first place all i remember is that milisandre had something to do with it

i realize they change things from the book to the show, but i really hate the way they are making Sansa into anything more than a sniveling whiney idiot. I wanted to smack the crap out of her throughout every book and no matter how they try to change her, I still can't bring myself to like the character after reading the books. Team Arya all the way lol

I would like to start off by congratulating the Unsullied for finally getting fucked hahaha. I would assume that some if not many of the Harpies are former coliseum fighters after watching this episode. Gotta feel for Dany with her OCD for justice steering her to foolish choices time after time; I can definitely see her counting on that "prodigal son" dragon, and now only dragon who likes her, to step in when needed most.

Is anyone else getting a "Mad Queenmother" vibe from Cersi? It really blew my mind that she is literally putting her son's life in danger with this stunt. You could say that she just wants to scare him into needing her around but when Tommen accused her she pretty much sent him to the heretic's stronghold lol. She was definitely not thinking about her much rumored children of incest being targeted (caught me by surprise, but once I saw it the smirk and nod came out). I think this season could be more fun then the others. The writers have a little more room to be creative... show that they aren't just professional editors lol.

Winter is coming for some sooner than others, I just hope all the Starks are where they need to be when it reaches them.

Sorry. I should have realized I hadn't seen comments from you. I usually watch for your point of view. Of course, there have been so many comments I simply began to skim through since many of them were sort of repeats. Besides that, I'm usually the last to know the really important things. It could have been a matter of you having more will power than me, so you wouldn't have to wait so long for the next episode. But I'll try to get your back, if there ever is a next time. LOL

In the books neither Grey worm nor Barristan die to the harpies, they are currently alive and have some minor plot developments ahead of htem.

As for Brann, his story catapulted 2 books ahead of the rest of the cast, there is nothing in the currently released books FOR him to do, whilst there are several plot lines to develop for practically every other character. There are a number of reasons they might have chosen to advance Brann's story line faster than the rest of the cast. Its possible GRRM wants to introduce story line for the character ahead of his novels, for whatever reason, but there is also a more practical reason.

In the show Bran, like all the Stark children, is 2 years older than his book counterpart (where we begin he is 9 not 7), and at the point the show ends he is approximately 11 years old. The actor playing him is 17, and will likely be replaced when the character is next seen in a later season. They may simply have wanted to push through the relatively short story of Bran in order to maintain the continuity of the characters appearance as much as possible while the actor still kind of passed for the right age.

I too am wondering about Gendry, and if they'll follow up on his story this season. Guess I need to go back and do some binge watching over the next four or five weeks. I honestly forgot where they left off with him.

They somewhat explained it in the episodes but essentially the guys with the red symbol carved into their foreheads are religious fanatics.

In the episode it is mentioned, but Cercei, in an effort to cement control over kings landing and the kingdom now that the power behind the Lannisters (Tywin) is dead, reinstated the militant branch of the religion, disbanded by force 200 years before.

She also points the zealots in the direction of a few choice targets she has issue with (Loras Tyrell, her intended husband for one) who have been "sinning" in the eyes of their religion, homosexuality being the main focus.

She has set free the wild eyed beast, but can she control it?
